ERIC is a non-profit association (Virtual Institute) having the aim to be a knowledge-based, market oriented network designed to facilitate rapid exploitation of R&D results and know-how.
The purpose of the Association is to foster excellence of its Members in the field of catalysis, by facilitating their integration at research, training and educational levels.
The Association shall pursue the objectives and interests of the Network of Excellence IDECAT (Integrated Design of Catalytic Nanomaterials for a Sustainable Production), in particular the purpose to support and foster the homogeneity and integration of the partners of the Network of Excellence.
The full name of the Association is “European Research Institute of Catalysis A.I.S.B.L.”, abbreviated “ERIC”.
The Association has the charter of an international non-profit-making association and it is regulated under title III of the Belgian Law 27 June 1921 on non-profit-making associations, international non-profit-making associations and foundations.
ERIC official signature has been made on November 13th, 2008.
ERIC's details are registered in the Belgian 'Crossroad Bank for Enterprises' ["Banque Carrefour des Entreprises" (BCE)].
ERIC has acquired legal personality on 12 December 2008 and has been registered under company number 0809.235.960.
The registered office for IDECAT is in Rond-Point Schuman, 14: 5° floor –Bruxelles (Belgium).
The Operational Office is instead at Consorzio INSTM-Via G. Giusti, 9 –50121 Firenze (Italy).
